I’m Ellie — a calligrapher and lettering artist specialising in bespoke work that marks meaningful moments.

My practice is rooted in traditional tools, careful craftsmanship and a belief that handwritten calligraphy is a statement — especially in an increasingly digital world. I work slowly and intentionally, creating pieces that feel personal, tactile and timeless.

I love sharing my passion for calligraphy with like-minded people. I run regular in-person workshops in Halifax for beginners and improvers. I also bring creativity to workplaces with tailored corporate events across the North of England — from team-building sessions to branded experiences and client entertainment.

Much of my work centres around weddings and events, where calligraphy becomes part of the experience — setting the tone before the day even begins and often living on as a keepsake afterwards. I also collaborate with brands and creatives who value detail, storytelling and considered design.

Whether I’m lettering envelopes, engraving live at an event, or teaching in workshops, my focus is always the same: thoughtful work, clear communication, and creating something that feels genuinely special to the people it’s for.

Based in the UK and working nationwide, I take on a limited number of commissions to ensure each project gets the time and care it deserves.
