merry christmas
To all my lovely clients, suppliers and friends – thank you for a wonderful year!
It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you and I hope we get many more exciting projects in 2023. Now put your feet up and enjoy the holidays…
My tips for a peaceful christmas
1.
Feeling Festive
Don’t wait til Christmas – sprinkle some festive flavour to all your December days!
Coffee is my obsession so a sprinkle of cinnamon and a dash of caramel syrup are the quickest way to make my day taste like a Christmas cookie.
What is it for you? A scented candle, a cosy Christmas jumper or a catch up with old friends? Why wait?!
I’m guessing December is one of your busiest months too so treat yourself every day and make the pre-Christmas rush a bit more peaceful.
2.
Sip-sip horay!
Your friends will be here in five? No need to ruffle your feathers – this festive take on my favourite mojito takes just three minutes to mix.
makes 4-ish:
200g white rum (or gin)
200g fresh or frozen strawberries
1 fresh lime juice
4tsp sugar
Mix well in a blender and top up with soda water to taste. Pour over ice and garnish with mint leaves or a sprig of fresh rosemary. Cheers!
3.
Let the music play
Nothing spells Christmas like fa-la-la-la-la.
There are plenty of festive playlists out there so I won’t add to the noise.
But if you fancy chilling out to some peaceful winter warmers, try the Spotify “mix tape” I made for you!
Behind the scenes
Making the Christmas card
The eternal optimist, I still decided to post Christmas cards this year. Did you get yours? Wow, that’s a surprise!! Here’s how it came to life.
All my lettering designs start as pencil sketches. This helps me explore ideas fast, before I select one concept to finalise.
Next, the hand sketch was digitised and embellished in Illustrator. At this stage I also chose my colour palette and prepared the artwork.
Last, the design was printed. I chose complementing red envelopes and calligraphed the addresses by hand.
